actually tho last year I bought JP copies of both from Amazon Japan because they look rad, for USD$8 and USD$20 respectively (1,2)....... and found out that the voices are actually english still

ofc gamecubes are region-locked, but a soft-modded Wii can get passed that

Xevious was probably the NES version because it was made for 4:3 screens, which was the style at the time still
