Bill Maher has been highly critical of the left and opposed to political correctness always.

Bill Maher being "leftist" is far-right propaganda from all of their meltdowns any time he criticizes the Christian Theocracy they want to impose upon America.

He has always been relatively moderate/centrist. In his early days, he even considered himself somewhat libertarian.
It's why I like him. He has a few things I disagree with, but overall is pretty moderate and reasonable.
It is funny, one week the far left will hate him and the right will be gleefully sharing how he "destroyed the woke liberals" and then another week the far right will hate him and the left will be gleefully sharing how he "destroyed the fascist conservatives".
Like, you can set a clock to it.

Its interesting watching leftists try and shift the goalposts to redefine Maher after having championed him as an authoritative voice of leftism for being so critical of Trump for all those years.

The left have invested so heavily into woke gender ideology that anyone who dares to point out its inherent and obvious flaws, or even wants to discuss its merits, is cast aside.

Bill Maher sees that its not the winning issue many on the left think it is. In fact, I think its the opposite. I think that the left, with what were seeing take place in public schools, have turned off a voting block they used to reliably hold: they poked the mama bears. And its not looking good for them come November.
