I like steam's "2 hours of gameplay" refund policy, which essentially amounts to all games having a demo However, I do recognize it probably screws over some crummy walking simulators This isn't a perfect compromise, but it's probably the best that consoles are going to get --- You did indeed stab me in the back. Although actual demos are surely preferable to users if they're paying a premium for them. I'm almost certain they'd just use a timer, since that's way easier for devs. The more questionable thing is at what point the timer starts running. I've seen some games start the timer when the game starts installing, for example. And sometimes the timer runs in real time - you start the game, then have two hours to play before it's gone. You could play the game for half an hour, shut it down, and lose access 90 minutes later. --- All the stars in the sky are waiting for you. ... Copied to Clipboard!
