As long as your yard isn't that big they're less of a hassle than gas mowers. But if it's going to take two charges to mow your lawn it's definitely not worth

From my experience using both, electric mowers are fine for grass that hasnt gotten too tall and even ground. But if your yard is uneven or if the grass gets too tall, electric mowers struggle. I prefer using a gas mower.

I have the battery ryobi stuff and love it. Much less finicky than gas, both mower and edger. Swapping batteries is no big deal.

I have a Ryobi, battery operated. I can do full backyard and front yard on a full charge. 180x35 prop.

only issue is the autodrive on the hill part of the front yard, but that's what legs are for.

I think one my problems is, I have no idea how big my lawn is lol. I have what I feel to be normal sized front and back lawn. So I see this mower (remove spaces):

homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-40V-HP-Brushless-21-in-Cordless-Battery- Walk-Behind-Self-Propelled-Lawn-Mower-with-2-6-0-Ah-Batteries-and- Charger-RY401140US/314600837

And I'm like, yeah that looks good. But maybe it's overkill??

My parents had an electric mower at some point after I moved out and it was complete garbage

Didn't cut very effectively and ran out of juice quickly

There probably exist better models and better batteries now, but that was their experience

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.

This. My experience is from a while ago, so maybe they've gotten better.

if you have a pretty generic sized yard then even the model down from what you posted is probably good enough. I didn't splurge and get the one with the light, that one also comes with a second battery which is nice.
