Despite all the critical hate it is getting, uncharted didn't follow the same trajectory as most other video game movies tanking 60%+ in week 2 as the video game turned movie adaptation had a great hold with 23M (-48%) second weekend before the behemoth of batman comes out next weekend that's expected for a 100-115M weekend gross..

This would make Tom Holland's second hit movie sans Spiderman making him a bankable star

For now, Uncharted should squeak passed 100M next weekend as audiences are ready to return to the theatres.

I heard the movie was a fun popcorn flick that you didn't need to care about too much. Which is exactly what I'd expect to do so well, especially when people are clamouring to return to normalcy, but also too doomer to pay much attention to a lot.

I bet that this movie is going to end up doing quite well. Not everyone wants to watch a "cinematic universe" for every action movie.
