It's true. It started off with early 2000s action jrpg games that received mixed or bad reviews from critics as they couldn't get the right footing to make a good japanese role playing game..and it didn't get any better when they released a 2006 xbox 360 launch exclusive turned based jrpg which was either panned or average reviewed..that would also be their last turn based jrpg game. It wasn't until Demon's Souls when their luck finally changed in 2009 and now they are making hits with these souls games.
