I have seen most of them now and they are okay but nothing special tbh. Sure there are great one-liners but that doesn't make up for mediocre writing.
I feel like it's one of those big franchises where the merchandise and pop-culture behind it is actually more popular than the films themselves, like what Transformers and Gundam with the action figures.

Theyre overly flashy and overly sexualized and a bit over-stylized (although I do love a little style)

maybe thats why I only like the Danial Craig ones, because for the most part those movies are none of those things I just mentioned

I haven't seen the old ones. Of the newer ones, Golden Eye and Casino Royale were both pretty great. I remember liking Die Another Day, but it had some silly moments that ruined it for some people.

Of all the Bond films I have seen, I think Casino Royale was my favorite.
The other Daniel Craig films were okay IMO, but again I thought they suffered from poor writing too

This. The Timothy Dalton and the Roger Moore ones were silly (most by design) and they kept some of that for the Peirce Bronson ones, but overall, they are good popcorn flicks (even the silly ones) where you can turn your brain off and enjoy the explosions.

You Only Live Twice has a ridiculous premise and would never be made today, but it's a really good movie.

Dr. No and Goldfinger are the only 2 I'd consider great, but there are a bunch of decent and good ones. I've seen all of them except the newest one.

@TomNook Over the past few days I have watched the first 3 Bond films, Dr. No, From Russia With Love, and Goldfinger(They're on a streaming service I use), and I have to agree with you. I've watched later Bond films before though. From Russia With Love was the most boring of the three and I don't understand the heavy praise. I'm seeing where all the Austin Powers spoofs are coming from now though, lol.
I might as well watch the next one, Thunderball, right now because I'm bored.

TC, I'd say they're all at least worth a watch, though the quality does vary quite a bit through the years.

It would be unfair. Tom Cruise is old now. Logan Paul would completely lose.

The books are really something. I read Casino Royale for the first time around Christmas and even compared to the standards of the 60s he's much more of a racist sexist piece of shit in the books than on screen.

I actually like the spoofs better than the real thing. Austin Powers, kingsmen, that one(three) with Rowan Atkinson.

I would say:

Connery era: kind of fun/interesting in an old way. As mentioned above, they're mostly fun to watch these days to see the spoof references.
Moore era: some popcorn fun, but leaning towards dumb by today's standards.
Brosnan era: pretty good popcorn fun. Some dumb, but less so than with Moore.
Craig era: started with a good Casino Royale modernization, but largely lost the fun factor over time and became broody...and thus the same as everything else.

All in all: they're decent movies (some moreso than others) if you just want to pass a couple hours, but they're nothing amazing.

I'm a Pierce Brosnan fan; so have to admit that I like his Bond films. I could see something like Golden Eye happening with the advancement of satellite technology; the same with the worldwide television mogul (based on Ted Turner or Rupert Murdoch or someone like that). Most of the Bond movies before Brosnan were pretty much, I have to admit, sexist as far as the Bond women were concerned but the screenwriters had started to make an effort to correct the sexist garbage by the time Daniel Craig took over.

@SinisterSlay Already saw Austin Powers way too much as a kid, but, are the Rowan Atkinson ones Johnny English? Might have to check those out.

Something like the Golden Eye was possible back then though even today they have not figured out how to focus it like they did in the movie. If the current technology was used in orbit it would disable all electronics for an entire hemisphere of the planet.

Way less convoluted than the other ones I've seen.

Some are bad, some are good. I think overall they are mostly good/great movies.

I like them because they are serious and silly sometimes. a good mixture of both. But, I don't think even the best ones is necessarily a top tier action movie.
