I wasn't blinded but I became quite dumbstruck though.

I enjoyed it but it never really struck a chord with me.

I'd say I'm a casual fan of the series. Don't think I've played any of them since 3

I played Halo because my friends were into it. I was always bad at it and got bored after the first couple of matches.

No, Baby's First FPS didn't impress me because I'd played FPS games since Wolfenstein 3D.

Not really, I mainly played because my friends were into it.

I had just come over from PS2 where SOCOM II had stunned me with its beauty

The first five or six seasons of Red v Blue were pretty good, but then I stopped watching to deal with real life and didn't bother watching the rest.

I think I've played maybe ten minutes of the OG's multiplayer and got wrecked because I wasn't used to the controls.

I'll probably watch the upcoming series.

I never owned the first Halo but me and my brother played the Silent Cartographer a million times on a demo disc we had. Didn't really get into the series until 3 but loved 3 through Reach. Infinite is cool too but tossing the customization into microtransaction hell sucks a lot.

You should go watch at least through season 8 (9 and 10 are fine too). The 6-8 adds a pretty engaging story (and Wash who may be the series' best character) but season 8, when they brought Monty Oum on, was a great spin on the series.

I'd also played Wolfenstein 3D and Doom, but I was still relatively impressed by Halo because I wasn't a hipster or a snob.

Definitely enjoyed it better than its more contemporary predecessors (give or take) like Quake, GoldenEye, and Half-Life.

The problem is it kind of depends on exactly what you want out of the series.

The first 5 seasons were great if you like the show for the comedy. 6-10 are great if you enjoy the overarching dramatic narrative they're telling. 11-13 are interesting in their own way, but can feel like a bit of a letdown after the earlier seasons, and it's definitely the point where the people behind the scenes are starting to get tired of working on the show.

It's after that point that it mostly dropped off a cliff into an ocean of shit.

I absolutely loved the shift in tone from 1-5 to 6-10, but the end of 10 very much feels like a perfect place to stop watching, and 11-13, while also good, feel a bit superfluous. And I'd never recommend anything from season 14 onward to anyone.

I think I stopped watching RvB right around the season where they started to use footage from Halo 5.

I didn't really have any issues with the show, it was mostly because I lost interest in Halo in general because of the disappointment that was Halo 5 Guardians.

I still play through the campaigns with my brother every now and then though.

i enjoyed it. the soundtrack and setting were definitely unique compared to what i was used to. half-life, quake, and wolfenstein were more my thing, though.
