This website called out a user who is a part of multiple gaming forums spreading fake rumours after a Nintendo Direct presentation that happened not too long ago making outrageous predictions and just hoping some of them stick and bragging about it after..and gamefaqs is one of those sites they used to post supposed true rumours on what Nintendo was going to announce which end up not coming true...

And they mentioned Gamefaqs but not before making a subtle diss...do you think it was?...

This website is so desperate for stories all they have to talk about is some guy who trolled a bunch of websites? That's kind of sad in itself.

That was a fair statement. GameFAQs is old as dirt and has a terrible user base.

What do the kids use these days, tik toks? >_> I bet even reddit is old and I look at it and go "How do you have a conversation with one specific person when posts shoot up and down with ratings and the entire page can somehow refresh into a different page and it's impossible to find any of the old comments you were just looking at"

The biggest issue with this site is the lack of marketing. King SBAllen has never really been good at reaching out to attract new users. Plus, this site's Wiki feature was a bust because it was inferior to Fandom and IGN. And this site didn't even have PMs for ages. It never really kept with the times.

The second issue is the xenophobia of the user base. Traditionally, this board would say it's "closing" at the end of the contest to drive out the gullible, and anyone who stayed around would then be accepted as one of us. Other boards on this site have a similar attitude, only worse since they tend to attack people that don't fit in with the subculture.

This site is dying because of those two reasons. The shade in the original comment is thus accurate.
