Garrett Soldano, a Republican Candidate for Michigan Governor trying to take down Democrat Gretchen Whitmer said that rape victims shouldn't get an abortion because it was a GIFT FROM GOD!!

He also claimed that they don't know if that baby inside of them could be the next PRESIDENT!!

He's a father of 2 boys who said on April Moss podcast "We must focus on..defending the DNA when it's created. How about we inspire women in the culture to let them understand and know how heroic they are and how unbelievable they are, that God put them in this moment. They don't know if that baby inside of them could be the next president. maybe the next person who changes humanity, may get us out of this situation in the future"

He cited a "great personal story" from a friend who was adopted on a quest to find his birth family and found out his mother was a gang-rape victim by 5 men at a train station. He said it tore his heart out to hear that as the Christian hopeful said he started to really apreciate and understand what his birth mother went through and the courage she did to deliver him.

He is now facing massive backlash for those comments including activist and actress Patricia Arquette who called his comments disgusting

He also got in hot water 2 years ago with covid misinformation at his chiropractice claiming it's a conspiracy and covid is not as deadly as it seems

He is polling second among Republicans behind James Craig as the state is considered a battleground in Whitmer's re-election chances

Would someone who says this be a dealbreaker for you to NOT vote for them?

What happened with separation of state and religion? Republicans ancestors escaped from europe hundreds of years ago for religious persecution. Now they are becoming those bigoted Europeans.

That's beyond me, it's all a tremendous mess on that side. We have religious freedom in this nation, creating laws and forcing people to abide by laws created around Christian religion is not freedom of religion. Why should a Buddhist have to follow Christian based laws?
