15 y/o Teddy Balkind, a Connecticut High School Hockey Player was killed after his THROAT was SLIT by a fellow hockey player's skate in a tragic accident during a game between 2 private schools!! The 10th grader died in hospital shortly after the incident during a 5pm game. The student at a private school at St Luke's was playing against Brunswick School when he fell last night and as he laid on the rink, another player SPED towards him and collided with him. That player's skate slashed his neck according to police The freak accident sent the community into morning as the family has not commented on his death An email was sent from the school to parents stating "Our community is mourning. Yesterday, we lost a precious young man in a tragic accident. Both St Luke's School and Brunswick School are in shock as we work to support our students and families" The school which was due to only operate as remote was closed Police confirmed that a player fell on the ice and another player on the opposing team was rushing towards him and collided with him where his skates slashed Balkind's throat.
