BTW, I do pay on a 1st date because I ask them out. If a really good 1st date with more than one venue, they will usually pay at the second place.

I've had some weird interactions about it. Once a girl met me a second time but ranted at me that I should've offered to pay even though she wanted to split the check and she was glad we split the check but it still wasn't right that I didn't offer to pay.

Then recently another girl ghosted me completely because of that and when we reconnected said how important it is to her that I should've paid.

Thinking this over now and I realized something interesting. I always offer to pay and there are 3 ways this can go. First of all, I just take the bill or say "one bill" when the server asks. I don't advertise it. Now most women will then offer to split when they see me doing this. I reply with, "I asked you out so I had planned to pay". Most say thank you, but some reinstate splitting and then I agree. So, they either:

1. Let me pay without a word

2. Say thank you after offering to split and I reinforce paying

3. We end up splitting because they insist

I have never once had a second date with #1 or #3, but almost always with #2. Also, with #2, they often say they will get it next time (while still on the first date!)

Also, I have to then wonder if how they react is based on personality or how the date has been going? Probably a little of both.

Yeah, I don't know why they say it, because they will break it for the right guy.

I have had more than one women say that they wouldn't have sex for X amount of time. I always think "challenge accepted" and in those cases, I always beat their timeframe

Obviously to set the tone of the relationship and show the girl you are high value, you pay for the date. Your the leader, if your taking someone on a date you take them to your spots, your treating them out. You obviously pay. You have to control the situation, show the girl your a man she can respect. Respect is 100% more important than attraction.

If you try to split the date, that shows how low value you are and she will quickly find someone better and always be looking for someone better.

Those are for the low value guys. She breaks rules for high value males and you show her that. Either with paper, or lifestyle. She will 100% break those rules for a blue check guy or celebrity, so show her how high value you are.

I voted no. They shouldn't have to, but it'd make a good impression. That said, my preferred scenario is when my date doesn't give me the option and insists on paying their portion of the bill.

I dont even like going on dinner dates tbh. They are a waste of time and money. There are a ton of other more fun things you can do that cost less or are free

I always would meet for drinks after work. If going well, then we can order food there or go elsewhere. So if it is not looking good, you are only paying for 2 drinks.

I also always liked late afternoon/evening dates because they usually don't have anything happening afterward, so it can just continue through the night if going well.

Most of my dates have been hug 1st date, kiss 2nd date, make out 3rd date, home run 4th. I dont have any issues with her requirements. But she doesnt seem like a woman for me.
