Yeah. Those wore out their welcome quick. Slenderman: The Arrival was a moment for me tho. All the stars aligned when I found it and hadn't even heard about Slenderman. I was already lacking sleep and I was a little zooted. It was dark and I put on headphones. Scared the fuck out of me.

I felt like Outlast did an ok job with that concept, but other than that, I mostly agree. Silent Hill, RE, even stuff like Fatal Frame where you have at least SOME kind of way to fight back makes things way more fun IMO.

I still think the unkillable speed-walking stalker that you have to hit directly in the head while youre panicking for a chance to run away is the laziest video game horror tool ever conceived. Looking directly at you, Resident Evil.
