He redirected funding away from border walls and immigration enforcement so he could increase funding for resettling refugees and housing migrant children. He limited ICE's ability to detain immigrants, both arrest and deportations are down under Biden. He expanded the number of border facilities to reduce overcrowding and get them processed out faster. He revoked Trump's travel bans. He reinstated the DACA program. He proposed a legislative bill that would give 11 million undocumented immigrants a pathway to citizenship. He ended Trump's family separation policy. In fact, there are currently ZERO migrant families in detention centers, but I guess Antifar didn't feel like that was worth a topic.

So surely you can give an example of Republicans who believe this as well. Doesn't have to be under Biden, I'm sure tons of them were calling for this when Trump was President! The Associated Press later confirmed the figure had been under consideration.

And Biden said as much in November.

Asked about the amount on Nov. 3, Biden appeared to misunderstand the question and said a payment of about $450,000 per person was "not going to happen." He later said he supported a settlement, without specifying an amount.

I'd prefer that these cases are contested on an individual basis.
Which means depending on the circumstances some people may get far less than that amount and others far more.
Of course I understand that type of nuance is completely lost on this board. Who see things in simple black and white terms.

$450,000 per family is a $2.5 billion settlement.
I dare say trying these cases individually will be cheaper even with settlements.
