Neat little thing the add on just revealed. Even videos with like/dislike disabled keeps track of dislikes and possibly likes. The FF XIV end of a era video on the official FF XIV channel has like/dislike disabled, but with the add on you can see the number of dislikes.

Nope. Their sole intention was to help creators not deal with the stress of dislike bombing, but like...they can still see it personally and this time they don't have their fanbase to "counteract" it. Nobody has ever said anything good about the decision.

I read somewhere that youtube will be getting rid of the data that lets 'returnyoutubedislike' access. So it'll probably not work in a few weeks.

But yeah, the like/dislike ratio was a great indicator to see if the video is bullshit or not. Like if the video is click bait, you'll see the confirmation in the dislike so you dont have to waste time sitting through those sponsers and ads, ohhh wait....

Are these companies so technologically illiterate they don't know this feature already existed?
If YouTube had to disable dislikes because these channels couldn't figure out how to disable it themselves, that's just sad.
