I was raised Catholic. But now I am no longer a believer. My parents used to be moderate catholics when I was a kid. As they got older they have become more extreme. They even protest Planned Parenthood once a week

Just got off the phone with them, and we had a big argument about religion. I told them I am getting annoyed with them constantly talking about religion around me. I told them finally point blank, I don't believe in God and I wish they would just shut the fuck up about it. They didn't like that

not at all. my mom accepts that i don't believe and let me quit church when i was like 12. i think one time in my adult life she brought it up and said that if i was ever interested, she would be happy to talk with me about it.

Your mom sounds pretty cool

i told my mom i didn't believe anymore and she told me that it was good enough for my dead grandpa to believe and if i didn't believe i was disrespecting him... and when i said that's not fair to say, she said the only thing that was fair is that we all burn in hell.

we don't talk much anymore.
