I mean... I can't even think of many prominent black characters in video games that could also reasonably be added into Smash. Frankly I'm still surprised Joker was put in. I mean who would you add in then?

This tbh. Although I guess the issue there was that she doesn't actually fight with her arms which would be a funny representation for the game ARMS.
