I got the vaccine before the mandate, but this is going to be annoying. A few therapists are leaving. 4 of them. Short staff sucks.

i mean, is a "therapist" who actively denies science and medicine in favor of personal politics really even fit for that job? i don't think so, Tim. let this be the great purge that cleanses the health care system of anti-science idiots.

I don't know what the industry is like in America but in the UK they're in such short supply that getting even a generic counseller for your serious mental health problem takes literally 6 months

So I guess its true that the quality is generally low but man, sometimes people just need someone to talk to.

I'm not a pt, I'm an aide and even before the mandate they did not like the new admin. This was the final straw for four PT's. They were on the verge of quitting because the bosses were more money than care.

At a nursing home? And people are refusing? That's exactly the type of job where you should want to be vaccinated. You're caring for people that are the most likely to die from covid.

I actually am starting to feel conflicted about mandates myself, and I HATE anti-vaxxers.

The reason I'm feeling iffy about the mandates though is that I'm starting to see people have sympathy for anti-vaxxers, even if they're not anti-vaxxers themselves. So even if it's the right call, it's also giving some legitimacy to the anti-vaxx crowd, which is a bad thing.

My bad for jumping to conclusions. Still though, anyone working in these times is still not givin their dues. People feel entitled to others taking the risk of sickness. It's fucked up how thankless working a job is. Dunno if it was always that way, but god damn is the morale low in Americans working jobs. Coming back to that entitlement people feel to be serviced. Not acknowledging that someone has to do the work for them to be serviced. Shit, half the time being disrespectful to the people keeping everything moving. Sorry for the rant.
