what laptop do you have?

yeah mobile won't match desktop for sure. Certain laptops are better in performance though than the average.

2019 Razer Blade. It's in my sig. I just find the generational jump in performance (compared to the desktop 2000 to 3000 series jump) to be utterly baffling.

oh, right. Yeah it's not a massive jump. 12 to 8nm
node shrinkage, with 3000 series getting double the but not as efficient.

The 3000 series do DLSS and Ray tracing better and 3060 outperforms 2070.

probably thermal issues? 3000 cards double as hot plates after all.

Lol

This is why it's better to at least go for every second generation so the jump is more worth it for less money.

Your scores seems to be average for your old laptop.

For reference, you should be getting around 12000 or better with your new one.

4000 series will be worth it next year. Rumored 5nm is going to be a big jump in energy efficiency alone.

I was thinking about getting a 14 2021 Razer l, but might just hold off for the 4000 series, even if I have to wait a full 12-14 months

I take my laptop to work every day which isn't really possible for a desktop. The portability alone makes it worth for my circumstances
