Online college course, assignment was to provide peer feedback. Two classmates gave me some really solid input on my essay and so after I turned it in I sent them individual thank you notes.

Is that something people do? It feels like a boomer move.

is it supposed to be uncomfortable? it seems like the right thing to do imo, someone helps you out and you say thanks. On the other hand I was never even one to initiate any sort of conversation with people I don't know.

Its a boomer move because it was traditionally done by mail and they were the last generation to rely on that method so heavily. My guess.
