weekoldhotdog 06/22/21 4:20:46 PM #12:	I was watching City of Angels with my wife last night for the first time as a couple (in 18 years) but about 22 years since I have last seen it (as a teen). I remembered this movie being really good and while it was still a good movie....there were a lot of scenes where Nicholas Cage looked like a creeper as an Angel watching over Meg Ryan. Plus there were a LOT of scenes where you just had to forgive the "forced" nature of everything. Like when Cage fell down to earth and tried to find his lover but only found her friends/co-workers instead.....but rather than him "being treated like he was a lunatic" (which they would have in this day and age), these friends gave some homeless bum the vacation home address of a top heart surgeon just because he guy said "please" and "i'm in love with her".... Then you got the hammy acting at the end of the movie where she just....lets go of her bike and rides it without looking forever with her arms up in the air.....or the shitty way she just laid there not acting like she was dying at all....in Cage's arms (at the end of the movie)....only to just "lock up" when she "died" and then there was this hanging second when Cage was waiting to start the "nooooooooooo!" up which was kind of funny because it looked like he forgot his line or something for a moment.
