It took me the while to get used to the fact that you can pick characters, and not only do they have their own stats, but some have their own abilities too

On stream I concluded that Pyramid Head is probably a beginner's trap to start, but as the game goes on, he will become less and less useful. Both in a match AND as the game itself gets older

I figured the longer the match is, the more power ups the players have collected and they will literally run circles around him and be able to lay more bombs, since PH can't collect power ups and has pitiful stats

and the older the game is, the more people will know about his ability, so they will avoid him at all costs or hell, try to take him out first

only RIGHT NOW is the most decent time to use him, but he will become obsolete

in the same match I said all of this, I got 2nd place with him

pay-to-win I typically imagine as something where you dump loads of money for advantages ala gatcha games max awakening the latest broken character

12 bucks for the actual base game I don't consider anywhere near the same, plus these characters have their flaws (stats/power-ups available to them) and the game rotates 2 freebie special characters a day

tbqh by the end I fear Bomberman White most of all, fast mf with max stat boosts and full bomb manipulation spamming lines of spike bombs that instantly empty the field of blocks making P Head useless

also I would *love* an update for different types of zones (as available in Super Bomberman R) which may not even connect up the same up-down-left-right directions uniformly so you'd actually have to navigate the field like a stitched-together LoZ map

Its crazy! CLASSIC Bomberman is behind a paywall! I haven't tested to see if you can find some rando's lobby and play classic online that way, but it sucks its like this. as far as I know, classic is just private with your friends

but yea, crossplatform works, the person had a switch and I played on PC. worked pretty well!

We played a few rounds of classic. you CAN play a "64" modes, but I dont' know if this means you can play the crazy battle royale mode just with your friends, if you can fill 64 players, or if its just standard deathmatch again but with the stats and abilities from that mode
