I dont know what is gonna happen with Trump and it doesnt really affect me, but I am curious about it. I know he is facing legal issues in New York and Georgia but that doesnt mean he will necessarily be convicted or even charged if some prosecutors dont think they have good enough evidence for a big profile case like that.

Hes old too so its within the realm of reasonable possibility that he could even pass away naturally before anything happens. A lot of people act like Biden could keel over at any moment, which he certainly could at his age, but Trump is almost the same age as him so hes in the same boat in that regard.

Does anyone know if something like this has happened where someone tried to take over a country, failed, but didnt really face any consequences? I mean he got banned from twitter which pretty much neutered him, but it isnt like he is actually in exile or anything he is still living freely within the nation.

Only an absolute fucking dunce would fail to see that inciting a mob to storm the capitol in order to influence an election amounts to an attempt to take over the country, which is exactly what Trump did.

Only a complete numbskull fucking buffoon would fail to draw the parallel that reversing a democratic election process amounts to a takeover of the country.

Only the Moron King, that would be the One Moron To Rule Them All, would fail to see how the Capitol building represents the seat of US democracy and therefore equates to representing the country as a whole.

he said the words be peaceful, youre correct about that much

but if you look at reality, he spent the majority of that speech using the kind of language you use to rile people up for a fight and it was apparent to all that the crowd was already angry and prepared for a fight.

As a leader you dont talk that way to an angry mob of people gathered at the capitol, especially when many are outfitted with tactical and military type gear and equipment

I mean, taking a country by force, is exactly what the US did to my country and they used the entire military, i mean bombing the hell out of neighborhoods with apaches, rounding up possible targets and executing them in the landfill by the masses, as someone who lived through an invasion I fail to see the Ex President incited all of that with the US Capitol. Trump never tried taking over thecountry, if they did we would living through Castro did with Cuba. If that were the case Pence would had played ball with him also.

Oh no violent insurrection, storm the capitol, take pictures, blah, thats nothing, in my opinion they were just making a statement that fell on deaf ears, otherwise everyone storming the capitol would had been armed and ready for the taking. The British tried and failed back then.

I can name Iran for one. We typically overthrow their leaders and put in puppet dictators. Iran had a theocratic revolution and put in their own leader, overthrowing the US approved one, and here we are to this day. Healthy democracy to theocracy.

Seriously I hate reading about what happens to you and people like you. US has a serious disease. That's why I'm so involved in the stock market, money is power, and if I meet these people at the top 1% I'll be smarter than those hand me down bimbos.

Big surprise you know absolutely nothing of what you're talking about.

The mob was indeed armed. Police only stopped a fraction of them and seized guns and explosives. There were members of the mob armed with knives and chemical sprays and stun guns, not to mention makeshift weapons like hockey sticks, flag poles, fire extinguishers, etc. They had zip ties for taking captives. Five people died that day.

If you're gonna try to make a point, it helps if you have your facts straight first.
