We're talking around $4,000-$8,000 for a Spring Drive movement watch from Grand Seiko. However, the Spring Drive's cost is pretty much in the movement, so the price is actually justified, because you get an automatic movement with higher precision than any normal automatic because of its unique movement. Basically the as the watch runs there is a second system used to brake or slow down the hands to give you extremely accurate time, on par with many quartz watches.

But the real beauty is the sweep of the seconds hand. It doesn't tick like a quartz, and it doesn't tick like an automatic or even a high beat automatic. It just glides so effortlessly around, it doesnt even feel like a minute has 60 seconds on this watch, yet it does.

Just check this shit out:

I guess this is a dream watch of mine, because the super high cost actually has a purpose beyond being a Swiss certified chronometer(just a classification of very accurate automatic movements, that the spring drive, or most quartz, beats the pants off of still), or diamonds and jewels.

But really though look at that seconds hand.

Grand Seikos are glorious, but definitely one of those things on the wishlist reserved for winning the lotto or inheriting from my distant royal Nigerian relations.

The only thing I can say I do not like about this one shown is the power reserve indicator. I like the idea of a PRI, but I don't like the design and how it fits into a grand seiko spring drive.

And yeah, 5-8K on a watch isn't something I can just do, but I do feel like if I ever get a job with decent money I'd treat myself and cherish it like nothing else. I like the idea of an expensive watch actually being worth the money because the movement is super fancy. I feel like it would be weird to spend a huge chunk on a certified chronometer auto that isn't even as accurate as your run of the mill quartz.

I actually like the ticking sound.

It's good to have goals and aspirations. Even with whatever you're doing, I'm sure you can budget things so you could put a bit of money aside for something like that in the long-run (albeit that long-run could be a marathon) or you could take up a side-hustle where maybe half of that money goes towards the watch.
