I never understood the appeal of movies like that until I watched The Hills have Eyes 2 in the theater with a friend of mine, who happens to be black. He jumped and screamed hilarious shit at the screen every time something scary happened and it brought a movie that would have been like a 2/10 up to a 11/10 experience.

Ive known a few black people that react dramatically to stuff like that and its also a pop culture reference and talked about by some black comedians. It might be a stereotype but I hope it isnt a negative one and I realize that not all black folks do that when they watch movies and really I imagine that most dont. I had no idea there was a new one. It's funny watching the degeneration of those movies. The first one was played like a pretty straight horror movie. Slightly goofy in the way that all horror movies are, but not really anything too outlandish. But boy does it really go off the rails after that.
