One of the fans in my computer is making noise.
Is there a way to test them? Cause the way it's set up it'd be a pain in the ass to take out the side panels, I need to take my PC off my desk and on the floor first. Either the fan is failing, or something is caught in it. Either way will require you to open up the computer.

As long as you unplug the hard drives and video card's power cables, it should be fine. After the post beep, it'll just give up an error about there being no system disc. Holding the power switch to turn it off is fine.

As I thought, it's the psu fan.
I've tinkered with it a bit and it's silent now, but definitely something to replace in the future. For some reason, it and the gabinet fans don't work unless the hard drive is connected --- El sexo sucio y el planeta limpio. "If you are tired of fear from links...
