regardless of what time period it's set in, make her have to fight gods and mythical monsters. it could be like a hercules movie sortof. but with a woman. in the comics, one of her common sources of problems is gods and monsters of greek myth. the story could be that Ares managed to take over Olympus and enslaved or corrupted the other gods. have her fight a multitude of deities. have Zeus in the movie (he is her father in some versions of the story. don't know about in these movies but....)

make her fight a hydra and Cerberus and other shit like that. maybe army of Olympus, under Ares control is invading the world of mortals and the movie would have battles all over the planet as Diana races around stopping various attacks. the final battle could be in Zeus's throne room against Ares

also it would be cool if in one part she goes into the Underworld.

Or, just throwing this out there, don't be weird.

It's just Giganta stepping on Gal Gadot for a full two hours.

The new 52 run had a really great vibe to it. (Well...besides the New 52 edge that was injected into it, like turning the Amazons into a bunch of creepy rapists >_>)

Should just skip a movie and adapt it into an animated series.

I dont know if I can handle Ares as the villain in another WW movie. Id prefer Hades if they went the Greek mythology route.

Hades is not really supposed to be evil though. Disney just made him a bad guy cause they were lazy. In the actual myths hades isn't really a villain usually apart from a handful of cases. And one could argue hades never really does anything wrong. Hes not the same as the Christian devil. People just assume he is cause he rules over an underworld

They could also have it be the sorceress Cerce causing all the problems instead of Ares

Its what now? 4 appearances of WW and no mention of Cerce.

I agree the final movie should feel final. For me though the idea of fighting a god doesn't feel inherently exciting. I actually dislike when everything in a superhero movie feels completely removed from our reality. Like in the latest thor movie where it's all on other planets and in space. Not at all my thing. I like it to be an earthly conflict
