Gotten 20 emails of failed login attempts today. LOL, sorry hackers, my 20+ character password is too long for your rainbow tables. And if you can managed to get past that I still have two step authentication you need to get through.

All that so you can get the copy of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water on my account (no credit card information, or other digital games).

20+ characters? Can you be more specific. Also which special characters are you using?

They are. Which reminds me, I should play that game again since my WiiU is still plugged in to my TV...

No, just that someone failed to login. I don't put much stock in the ip and location stuff anyways because most hackers should be using a VPN.

Basically, if a hacker can get into the database of a company and see the passwords table, they can de-encrypt pretty much any password less then 14 characters. Anything longer has not been cracked yet, because it would take modern computers hundreds of years working around the clock to crack anything 15 characters. That is why length of your password is more important then complexity (unless you are using a common phase like "password").

This is also why I hate when a site doesn't let you use longer passwords... some even limiting you to 8 characters

That sounds annoying regardless. I'd just change it to a different login email.

The chosen attribution is one of the five important identifiers. Just sayin.
