Im not going. Dad is pissed saying Im letting a fake pandemic run my life. He literally said it was like letting terrorists win. He went to a fucking Cracker Barrel that was full af.

I was going to drive 6 hours back to my parent's house for Thanksgiving dinner. And 3 or 4 days on vacation back at home. Instead of staying in my childhood room, I was going to stay at my brother's home. Try to limit time around the parents.

But my niece got exposed to COVID on Friday. So my brother's house is currently on quarantine until they test her. That pretty much ended the trip.

So that meant Thanksgiving around my rental location. However, my roommmate was having his GF over (with her two kids) and he had custody of his two kids. I chose not to be around for that, and I had to blow money on a hotel for two nights. So I can't even do the things I wanted to around my own place today.

Pretty much the worst Thanksgiving ever. My dad tripped and fell down a flight of stairs leaving his office Tuesday night and broke both his arms. So just makes things worse.

We usually celebrate the holiday with the extended family, but everyone has decided it was best to just celebrate with their immediate family.

I'm not celebrating it at all, but I'll be making food and dropping it off for my grandpa and my aunt. My grandma and my uncle passed to covid earlier this year.

Well yeah, i got forced to pick up hospital shift because of covid so here we are

They are the same as always. Its a 100+ person gathering. We all eat dinner together spend a couple days together than fly back home. My uncle coughed a couple times but he said we was just choking from spicy food. He has coughed several hours later but I haven't been anywhere close to six feet from him so I should be good if he has corona.
