if Biden wins: the earliest he can enact a stimulus is after he becomes president in January. but he might not even be able to do it right away. so could be even longer

if Trump wins: forget a stimulus. I don't believe a word out of his mouth and after his re election he will have no reason to actually follow through with a stimulus. and his fans will cheer and say they owned the libs or something.

Sorry but a man once said "Corporations are people, my friend" better people that always get first priority from the government, don't have to answer to any laws the government makes and can not pay taxes to said government. as fr as that man and people who think like that man are concerned Corps are people, the rest of us are 2nd class citizens and some of us are even less than that in their eyes.

Trump said "the instant" he gets reelected he will sign a stimulus bill. Lots of people I know are voting for him because of that. They don't like it, or him for that matter, but it's not like a president has ever meaningfully affected our lives in either direction, basically ever. Maybe the previous generations who got drafted to Vietnam was the last time? Idk. Seemed worth to be able to buy some groceries in a couple weeks.

It's real easy to criticize, but when you haven't eaten anything except a box of crackers in the past 7 days, you brain is actually incapable of processing such an argument. You can't plan or use foresight, you can't empathize with some nebulous action against some far flung people. The ancient, animalistic part of your brain that processes the drive for food, sex, etc. literally takes over and prevents higher functioning.

All you can think about is how can I fill my gut. It's not a moral failing. It's a biological imperative.

Actually, I have been starving several times, literally having not eaten for days. Yet, your argument still seems callous and condescending to the people who's lives are actually being lost. I think everyone needs to eat, and no government should let it's people starve, but to say a couple weeks of groceries are more important than thousands of people's lives seems like a mind set of privilege.

It really is insulting how little our government has helped its citizens through this pandemic. Were supposed to be the richest nation on earth yet we received ONE measly check for 1200 bucks. Other nations are helping their citizens out by giving them a few hundred bucks a month and are STILL getting that money.

Not saying free money is always the answer but the economic shut down occured without any real plan in place and millions of people are really hurting right now. Trumps damage has gone far beyond the 200,000 deaths.
