He won as an outsider and has spent four years being surrounded by insiders. He won in 2016 because he was cutting and darkly funny, using populist language and hitting at the corrupt status quo. That was enough to propel a narrow victory over the ludicrously unpopular Hillary Clinton, despite most people not liking his personality. Now that he IS the status quo, he's been reduced to yelling about how Joe Biden is a socialist and now desperately seeking out another "her emails" to pull regarding Biden's son.
