hypnox 10/18/20 5:58:04 PM #1:	I have bought a few pieces of various armies over the years, but never played a game of it. With 9th edition apparently a straight Imperial Knights is possible, not great, but possible. I am not really into the super competitive aspect of 40k, mostly because its too expensive to have the hotness of the week. So for someone that LOVES things like Mechs, Gundam, and the like. Lokarin 10/18/20 6:11:46 PM #3:	Ya, Imperial Knights is pretty simple to get into and even though individual knights are rather expensive - they're among the cheapest full armies to run. For example, a 2k list might have a ForgeWorld Knight, 2 Gallants, a Warden and a 12 pack of Raiders... which is about $1100 total, which is kinda actually good since most players will value optional upgrades at about $1 per point, so you're about half the expected cost of, say, a Marine or Ork player --- "Salt cures Everything!" Zeus 10/18/20 9:27:20 PM #5:	Meanwhile all I ever spent was a small amount of a box of Space Marines... although my interest was purely in the design and hadn't intended on playing. Blightzkrieg 10/18/20 10:11:48 PM #6:	I'm pretty sure Knights are viable but kind of a hard skew. Somebody can tailor a list specifically to kill them if they're not using a take all comers list.
