it's so annoying
I am compelled to play some MMO for the halloween content but I feel like I've played the ones I'd normally play to death.

Have started several games recently but none have kept my attention for too long.

Would buy Torchlight 3 but it looks like slow awkward trash compared to 1 and 2. Don't want to drop money on Remnant: From the Ashes when I'm probably going to play for two days and forget about it. Could get into RDR2 again but would probably want to start a new game at this point since I don't remember anything that was going on (though I also don't want to ... you know, start over lol).

I have been considering Torchlight 3, I don't like the price, First two were $20 this one I think is $40.

You have Game Pass right? Spiritfarer pulled me out of my rut when I was feeling this was a few weeks ago. Very cool and different game.

Oh I didn't even notice it was $40. I was also considering it, but watching gameplay videos it doesn't look as fast paced as the previous games, and I think they probably shot themselves in the foot shifting development philosophies midstream from Frontiers to 3.

Spiritfarer looks cool. I don't have game pass though unfortunately. Do you think it's worth 30 bucks?

TL3 looks pretty bad especially considering it was meant to F2P and have a cash shop and it backfired so they went with this.
Even TL2 wasn't that good until Synergies mod

If you want something like that I'd pick Grim Dawn - it's not the best since it doesn't have RNG maps for the main game but it's pretty good

Have beaten Grim Dawn.

Also played Path of Exile but it never fully drew me in.

Absolutely, it's been my favorite game this year so far, there's a lot of content, the crafting system is fun, great story and it's a solid 20+ hour experience, unless you are more of a burn through games fast kind of player.

I loved that game except for the damn repetitiveness made a lot of the missions boring. The destruction was a lot of fun, and the concept of an open world game on Mars like that was really cool, It was just a bit generic and bland overall.

Also, why don't you have Game Pass? I read about you playing a lot of indies and there's over a hundred games, even if you grab it for one month, you can knock out a lot for $10. I think it's $1 the first month if you never had it before also.

Lol yeah the repetition is probably why I quit playing it. I bought it on 360 back in the day and then gave up like halfway through and then bough it on Steam later... I'll try this "Re-Mars-tered edition" though maybe it'll be ... better looking at least.

I don't know why I don't have the game pass, I have so many games already and I already pay for two MMOs that I don't even play regularly right now -_-

... I destroyed a lot of "key infrastructure" buildings in Guerilla, saw the game autosave a dozen times, even drove back to the safe house and forced an auto save... and now those buildings respawned lol.

The more I play this game, the more I'm reminded of... other games. Like Mercenaries, Just Cause, etc. I feel like I'm playing the WoW Killer of Mercenaries

Yeah I loved the first one. After this I might try replaying the second one. I remember the damage threshold for that red screen effect was way too high and it was so distracting having a red screen of death half the time I was playing -_-. Also was surprised that there were still people playing online since I tried it years after its release.

That's cool it just crashed on me. Also I think it's making me collect salvage to advance and that's going to be lame.
