Asking $117,000
  • 2 bed
  • 1.5 bath
  • 1,748sqft
  • 6 acre lot
This mentions "interesting rooms" but with sideways pictures and blurry shots I have no idea what rooms they are actually showing in the picture.

Real curious to see the state of the roof (part is new, part is old), shape of out buildings, basement, and what the hell the layout of the bedrooms is.

Are you just scouring for POSs?

Just looking for a house in rural Ohio with some land. My budget probably maxes out at $150k, so probably won't be buying anything top of the line.

Bathroom looks super tight in space, but on a 6 acre lot that's a solid price. I wonder if there's major condition issues with the bedroom. House can use a paintjob but that's more just cosmetic.

House listings are so screwy it's hard to know. Says upstairs need "updating" which could mean anything. If it's just out of style I don't give a fuck. If the drywall is collapsing that's a different story.

I went and saw a "2 bedroom" house yesterday that legit only had 1 bedroom. No way I'm paying over 100k for a 1 bedroom house regardless of land.

Yeah, we talked a bit in your last topic, I own my house in TN, mortgage is paid off entirely, current value is 124k and it sits on 10 acres. It's a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath manufactured home built in 1990, new metal roof 2 years ago. Covered car port, 2 sheds that were both bought within the last 5 years and a wood chicken coop. We are looking to sell and pick up and move, similar to you, trying to find something that needs a bit of work for under 150k up North, and there are a lot of options. We are looking at far North Michigan on the great lakes, or East to NE Maine, maybe Vermont or New Hampshire.

My family owns some land (with other families) around Houghton Lake in northern Michigan. It's basically a hunting camp so I couldn't actually move there but it would be perfect.

I'll look into it for sure. I want to be near water, i'm fully invested in fishing a lot and don't want a long drive to good areas to do so. There's even some properties that are on large lakes with docks on the property, and that would be ideal, it just depends on what is available when we are ready to make the move, likely before spring next year.
