Drizzt is 1,000% a Gary Stu, but I wouldn't say the books are bad, per se. I enjoyed them when I was younger, at least. Like a popcorn flick in book form(I enjoyed The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, so I would probably still enjoy Drizzt, honestly).

Drizzt isn't really a Gary Stu. He's just a super snowflake of exceptions. Elminister is the Gary Stu of D&D. Like, literally. He used to be someone's PC until that someone got a job at TSR and wrote him into the story.

yes. I never finished them. but I used to be really into the Drizzt series. I read like the first 10 or something. Drizzt used to be my hero when I was like 12
