Why hello there! You've found the Chao Garden, a secret refuge for mysterious creatures called Chao.



As you can see, it's quite barren now. But it didn't used to be like this. Once, it was teeming with energy and life, and you can help restore it to its former state!

This is ChaoCE, the last remaining chao. Say helllo!

ChaoCE wants to go on a quest to restore the Chao Garden, and here's how you can help!

Rule 1:The Basics
The story will primarily be moved forward through a series of choices that you will vote on, like in a normal CYOA. But there are a few twists. As ChaoCE progresses on their quest, their hunger will decrease, and they may lose HP. (more on this later.)

Rule 2: The Players
Everyone that votes will be added to the list of players (found at the bottom of this post). Players can vote once per "chapter", and every vote will add one ring to that player's cache, which they can use to buy items to help ChaoCE! (Of course right now, there is noone running the store. I wonder if there's a way to fix that...)

Rule 3: Stats
The choices the player make in the story will effect ChaoCE's stats, seen above. These stats will open new opportunities for ChaoCE, and increase their chances of success during the more dangerous parts of their adventure. However, players can further improve ChaoCE by caring for them!

Rule 4: Caring for ChaoCE
Once per day, a player can feed ChaoCE. Normally, food must be bought, but since there is no store currently, you can choose to give a berry, which restores 1 Hunger. A player can also, once per day, spend rings they've accumulated to give ChaoCE food, items, and equipment! And finally, once per day, a player can encourage ChaoCE. You can say whatever you like. Depending on what you say, ChaoCE will receive temporary benefits to their stats. And finally,

Rule 5: The Quest Begins
The object of the Chao Garden Adventure Project is to fill the Chao Garden with friends and allies. The friends you meet will help build up the garden, by opening shops, restaurants, karate dojos, race tracks, etc. Of course, as ChaoCE searches for these friends, who knows what kind of fantastic adventures they might find themselves wrapped up in!

Garden Status:

It's quite lonely, now, but you can still see glimpses of its former beauty. Beaneath an endless blue sky, there are verdant rolling hills, a tranquil waterfall, and a few lush berry trees. On the outskirts of the garden, you can see two mysterious locked doors. Neither seems to have been opened in quite some time.
