more thoughts:
Cloud's punisher mode is kinda fun
it's really easy to take a lot of damage without realizing it
menu navigation is gonna take some getting used to still
Barret is kind of boring to play so far
i still don't like Tifa's face in this game (looks too doll-like? esp compared to Aerith's much more natural face)
that said i cant wait to play as Tifa
can i use Aerith as a physical attacker
why is Jessie so unrelentingly thirsty?

Here's a tip the game never really tells you: the enemy AI typically focuses on whatever character you're controlling. So you can switch to Barrett to get the enemies to focus him and then switch back to Cloud to deal some damage without worrying about getting hit.

If you find yourself taking a lot of damage when you're trying to attack you should try to switch characters more.

Also make sure to press triangle every time Barrett "reloads" because it cuts the animation time by a lot

She is arguably the best, so yeah, no complaints here!

I always liked playing as Barret, really all of the characters, but yeah... there isn't "much" to him. I just loved Overcharge as an easy ATB builder, MAXIMUM FURY~, and the combination of range attacks - enemy AI focusing on party leader - tank-y HP working well together in battle.

I think every time jessie opens her mouth it's to hit on Cloud

but will this shit with the dementors, even if it's batshit crazy peak KH-nomura--will it piss me off or will it make me laugh my ass off? or is it legitimately interesting/cool

honestly i'm kind of in the same boat but i wanted to check it out with my gamefly trial

it's very pretty and the gameplay is solid. i havne't gotten any of the cool stuff yet so i'm sure it opens up

but yes i am kind of sick of open world games
