medieval meaning primarily swords and bows, low tech with forts and dynasties and such. is it still game of thrones? what else?

I loved Rome, but that isn't exactly what you want

The Tudors is solid

My favorite historical TV show like that, though, is Vikings

Tudors isn't medieval. that takes place in like the 1500's. I think it's during the renaissance. medieval is like the period between dark ages and renaissance. centuries earlier than Tudors

I just realized that I guess that means VIkings doesnt count either. I rethought my earlier post. cause yea, Dark ages and medieval are kinda 2 different periods

TC made it clear in the OP that he isn't necessarily talking about a time period but moreso a not modern type of show. No need to be pedantic about it.

so would an 1800s show count as medieval too then? have you seen Tudors? it's not really the sword slashing show it might sound like. they have guns on that show. there is an episode where they assault a french town using a cannon. by the 1500's the world was very different from a Game of Thrones style society

dark ages and medieval are similar to each other

but the renaissance was totally different and nothing like dark ages and medieval eras. the world changed dramatically in the renaissance and no it would not fit as comparable to game of thrones

Tudors fits that completely. Do you argue just for the sake of arguing? Is it this important to you? Jesus man.

except it doesn't. have you ever watched Tudors? it's not primarily swords and bows. they use guns a lot. and it's not low tech. I mean it is compared to 2020. but it is way more advanced than the Game of Thrones world. the Tudors society is centuries beyond what is in Game of Thrones.

I wasn't familiar with the actor before Spartacus, but that does sound really sad, being aware of what's happening until he passes away

it fuels my hype for all things viking --- leading to ass creed Valhalla later this year. i found some of season 1 slow and not sure where it was going, then building really good for season 2 and season 3 being fantastic pay off for the buildup.

I dunno.

the one main dude has a terrible, distracting accent, and the plot is super repetitive - he has beef with one side and he talks about being loyal to the other, then he ends up fighting for the side he had beef with. rinse and repeat
