It would be one thing if you were boycotting the whole game over the DLC practices but if you already have the game, that ship has sailed so you might as well play it.

Unfortunately, I never got any of the DLC so I'm not sure how much of it is worth playing.

As far as I know (I don't have the DLC myself) overclassing is exactly what it sounds like. If you buy the DLC you get to promote your already-promoted units to even stronger bonus classes. I'm not sure what exactly the point is, since the game isn't particularly difficult.

I got KoF14 in a $4 bundle recently and discovered that there's $40 worth of characters, including series mainstays like Rock Howard and Blue Mary. Well, that's not happening.

I bought the extra characters, the game was good so I didn't mind buying the dlc. The extra characters are cute and have some supports that are cute (plus they get some semi-broken skills)

also I think there's a bulk purchase of all the overclasses thats affordable IIRC (I've never actually been able to grind enough to make the overclasses worth it)

The season pass is ridiculous but honestly it does seem like they tried to make it worth it and they learned from their mistakes and didn't do it again so I don't mind

If I remember correctly, you will lose some stats from the missing level ups, but a lot of that will be mitigated by how promotion stat boosts work. Basically, they increase each stat to some minimum level, so you're missing out on stat boosts from stats that were already above the minimum.

I'm pretty sure promoting immediately is fine if you just want to beat the game, but if you're really into minimaxing you're sacrificing a bit.

Not that I can recall!

Another really nice thing is that you can do as many supports as you want with each character without having to pick and choose.

Sometimes you can visit the same area later as the other main character and recruit them to that party instead.

There's not really any reason to do this other than for the hell of it.

i got through the fight after sacrificing boey and kind of giving up because of the time sunk into the dungeon. i wasn't expecting the revival fountain so that was a nice surprise.

but my problem was too many of them for celica to handle alone and they would overwhelm at least one or two characters before i could kill them all. i find myself using genny's invoke a lot just for fodder lol
