We still have 5 months of an absolute shitshow of a political campaign to get through and people are notoriously fickle and change their opinions on the stupidest of shit. Trump can continue to do the vilest of things and 2 days before the election Biden will be caught on camera eating a booger and people will go lol Im not voting for a president that eats boogers lol Trump 2020 lol

The markets are already going up, which was Trump's biggest accomplishment in his first four years of office. This is a piece talking about how a quick economic turnaround could be bad news for democrats:

Unemployment numbers, while still high, are 7% lower than what was being projected.

Not only this, but Biden still hasn't had a very wide audience for any sort of public speaking gig. Most interview pieces have been shot in front of his library (or green screen, who knows) and has given us hints that he's been reading off a teleprompter.

Numbers right now don't mean much, especially considering the RNC and DNC haven't even taken place yet.

I think Trump is currently trying to set up strong personal connections with industries so that he's set up for returning to a business role instead of a political one. That's why he passed the bill that would let industries get away with killing literally billions of birds without taking precautions.

Expect a lot of legislation spearheaded by Trump in the next few months that will stealthily help his position when he returns to his old role.

But he'll only lose if you go and vote for Biden, of course
