This (though obviously it depends on where you are). In Maryland, salons are open with restrictions. I was able to get my hair cut earlier this week.

The thing is, the more things that are open, the more dangerous it is. Our gyms were open, and I didn't feel too bad about sneaking in once a week because people were mostly staying safe. They had limited capacity, gave everyone disinfectant to carry around, and checked everyone's temperature.

Then memorial day happened, and I saw so many idiots out and about. Now we have both the protests, and many places reopening like nothing happened so I don't feel good about going anymore. The likelihood of you getting it now is much higher.

The governments are the ones who closed the gyms. The protestors are not the government, they are a subgroup of people protesting against a subgroup of the government. Some of the protestors want the gyms open, some do not..but still feel that this is something worth going into public for. The only thing they really have in common is that they care enough about this issue to get out and protest. Likewise, some of the people who are AGAINST the protestors want the gyms open and some do not. Some of their opinions on COVID-19 will overlap with the COVID-19 opinions of the protestors because it's a separate and unrelated issue.

This really isn't that complicated or deep tbh. Lol

Just say we need gyms to fight of racist cops frothing at the mouth and roaming cities. Also, obesity kills way more people than COVID ever could, plus it doesn't only kill people past the average age of death.

been reading a theres rise in infections.

a meat processing plant even stopped testing because 55% of infections of the state came from there. that was reported 2 weeks ago. i feel this is whats going to happen: infection rises and the numbers will be covered up in order to keep businesses open.

many states have seen rises in the coronavirus. its the more densely populated states that are indicated based on yesterdays news.

country cannot afford to stay shut down. the only way the country shuts down again is based on how many people die this time around. there are less healthcare personnel. i wonder if theres going to be a revolving door of low wage work thats going to be available and its going to cost the life of someone you know.
