I'll have to mention right off the bat

I'm a Final Fight > SoR guy

I never grew up with a Sega genesis

I played SoR2 first on XBLA and I liked it but it goes on for like 4 levels too long. But I understand, its a Console Exclusive Beat em up so they wanted more bang for your buck.

Beat em ups are repetitive but even I feel it with that one

but I like 4! I just use Axel and Grand Upper all day long

I played 1 and I think that one sucks

I didn't care for 3, I feel they tried too much with that one

With SOR4, all I have to say is, Its really awesome!

I lowkey want to make a beat em up of my own one day and it would be something like this. OH MY GOD adding wall bounds change everything.
the graphics are great too, they went above and beyond with the lighting effects

and I love you can play this online. HAVING DROP IN COOP IS THE POINT OF ARCADE GAMES, MODERN BEAT EM UPS DON"T HAVE THIS

and all story is reserved for the end of the level. I've seen modern beat em ups have a shit load of story in the middle of the levels and it gets fucking annoying.

The game is really smooth, it feels good controlling them. Sometimes its TOO smooth. The attacks don't feel satisfying sometimes but that might just be me

I have two complaints but only one of them is valid. I was gonna say the game feels wayyyy too slow, but it turns out its just because Axel is slow as fuck now. With like...no dash or run. Only one character has a run.

the other complaint is that the game is just too damn dark. IIRC yea, SOR2 took place at night but you still have the neon glow of the city to light your way. I dunno, maybe its just me but I keep running into obstacles not realizing they're there, like the exposed wiring.

I don't like the new girl. Her combo finisher launches her in the air to do a Terry Bogard Power Dunk and it leaves her open in the air for a solid second of time. Shes not invincible during this time too, it reminds me of Leo in SNES Turtles in Time. but even then Leo is not in the air for that long. and yea, personal bias but I don't really like the "fast" character either, so eh, I don't like her lack of power. But yea, just me on that one

THE NEW BIG GUY IS EVEN SLOWER THAN AXEL, but OH MY GOD hes satisfying to use. But my only complaint is that his animations are super stuff. His jump kick he jumps in the air and sticks out his stubby leg for like 45 degrees outwards. His pile driver he just jumps and sticks his arm out and the enemy is upside down. It just looks lazy. I'm spoiled by Haggar but theres just something wrong here. Another problem he has is that he doesn't have a dash, which is fine I guess, but even Max's big fat ass had that slide in 2

Adam is cool but my complaint is that just like Soul Calibur V's bitch ass, they had teen characters, had a time skip, and then DIDN"T BRING BACK THE TEEN CHARACTERS. I wanted to use grown ass Skate. but Adam coming back is way cool too, especially with his Design change

I'm spoiled by not having Grand Upper be invincible but I guess thats just a nerf

I never liked using Blaze and shes no exception here. and wtf at her voice

its alot of fun, I don't think I'd pay 25 bucks for this (My friend had it via gamepass)

but its a worthy entry IMO.

take it from the beat em up guy

I dont understand your criticism of 8 levels in SoR2 being too many when SoR4 has 12.

But yay! Im glad you enjoyed 4.

Your too dark criticism sounds like a tv issue. It definitely isn't as dark as you are making it seem. Everything is easy to see.

you're right, but the game still feels way too damn long

and I never said I liked 4's length either, but hey, more stuff I guess
