Warning: by virtue of using the original videos, these videos contain examples of child abuse.

This trilogy of videos goes over the entire saga. The host is playing a character, but there's footage and there are receipts.

I thought with the recent talk about the Asian woman who eats animals alive, I'd bring back another heinous YouTube channel who got away with cruelty. DaddyOFive was a "family" channel where a dad would "prank" his kids and turn them against each other. It became clear that he was encouraging an atmosphere of fear and violence for the sake of drama, and he would often target his youngest adopted son Cody.

Cody started to display lingering signs of abuse, like bloody lips and bruises, and in multiple videos where he was tormented for the amusement of his father and exploited for YouTube views, he hits his head with an audible thunk sound. All of this is showcased in the linked videos. He also pulls an adoption prank on him three times, to a kid who's already been adopted at least once.

Basically, if you were abused as a kid or otherwise have really unpleasant childhood memories, this might be a tough watch. There was shit from my childhood I had completely forgotten about, and watching these videos brought back a lot of the negativity and fear I felt as a kid that had long since been buried.

Remember - channels like the live animal girl and this child abuser have cultivated a fanbase on YouTube and stayed undercover for months/years. The larger YouTube gets, and the more automated their systems become, more and more channels like this will slip through the cracks. Channels showcasing incredible cruelty to children and animals have existed on YouTube before, and going forward, it is all the more likely that this same content will continue to appear on the platform. YouTube is fucking horrifying.

He did. IIRC, the dad lost custody of the adopted son, but the birth mom had issues of her own. They were investigated by CPS and barred from making videos basically exploiting their children.
That's just from memory, so might be wrong.

Yeah, they've tried multiple times to start new channels up again, and keep getting reprimanded. Youtube apparently follows child labor laws now for content creators who include children, and they're not allowed to post content with their kids.

The dad is apparently a Soundcloud rapper now called Mikey M.

In the description for the first video, you can see the timeline of the case. The parents in these videos got 5 years probation, and Cody and Emma went back to their birth mother. Apparently she was having drug problems which prevented her from taking her kids back, but when you see what this fuck face subjected them to in these videos, you really have to wonder whether they would have been better off with her the whole time. Or, barring that, why CPS didn't place them with other relatives or with an entirely different family.

One of the worst parts of this entire series is the third video, which goes over the sort of fanbase that this channel was cultivating. We're talking comments like "you should torment Cody more, he deserves it" and "Cody's screaming is like music to my ears". There was also a Facebook group that got forcibly shut down, followed by an invite-only group.

A lot of the stuff with Cody is particularly shitty, and as the focal point of these videos he gets a lot of screentime. Considering the disproportionate focus on him in the videos themselves, that's understandable. But I think the part that really made it all real for me is that clip of Emma getting blasted with a super soaker and crying over her drawings getting ruined.

The fact that this evil oaf of a dad instructed Cody to do this for a video, only to start yelling at him like he had no control over what just happened - "disciplining bad behavior", despite actively encouraging it seconds earlier - is the point where his malice really makes itself known. And it's fucking heartbreaking hearing this little girl break down crying over her drawings, saying that she just wanted to do something nice and fun for once and that now it's been ruined.

But God, then there's the slapping bottle flip game, and the footage of the adoption "prank". It's such a fucking harrowing video.

Is there? I kinda just made this topic after reading some discourse on the woman who eats live animals - while wholly removed from this whole thing, the cruelness of that content reminded me of the most distressing series of videos I've ever seen. If there's a general for this sort of thing, I didn't see it unfortunately.

Something I want to bring up - DaddyOFive had over 700,000 subscribers, he had over 200 videos uploaded in this vein, and he was able to ride trendy keywords like "pranks" and flag the content as comedy for the widest appeal. This content was seen as acceptable by YouTube for years.

One of the DaddyOFive kids apparently wants to have an interview, saying the abuse never actually happened.

From the looks of the videos, the oldest one was in it for kicks. It looks like he worked with his father more often than not, to the point of holding the cell phone when his dad needed to get involved with the video, and you can see in that first video that whenever somebody's room needed to get trashed, it was usually the oldest son who would do it.

I think the situation that they were put in was extremely fucked up, and being the oldest and strongest child of this family, siding with your dad in this situation where you can be praised and have a lower chance of being hurt is probably the better choice to make. I think this guy is almost certainly a bully like his dad, just from what you can see in the videos, but considering the atmosphere of that environment it's hard not to see why someone would fall into that role.

In short - while it would be interesting to get a perspective from inside the house, the only people who are currently cognizant enough to discuss the events of this YouTube channel at the moment are an abusive dad, a mother who actively went along with the dad's schemes and told one of her kids that she didn't like him, and an older brother who worked with his dad to create hostile situations to film. You see him getting his siblings into headlocks, to the point where these kids are audibly choking, and you see him take clothes and toys and strew them around his sibling's rooms so his dad can record himself yelling at the siblings over it. I don't know if this guy's word would be trustworthy.
