Seconding what Yo is saying about being surprisingly creative. I'm a ridiculously left-brained person, and yet one day i just sat down and started writing novels. (I also did match pics for the year contest, even if SB overlooked my best work.)

Note to myself for if I'm a guest again: everything is recorded, mind what you say before and after the episode (i. e. build a bigger buffer of jokes to say during those times).

Zen taught me how to make pics. I made a few for 2010 that got accepted and most people hated, so I am not creative!

Zen is that guy who did a full analysis of Character Battle 2013 five years later, which consisted mostly of him bemoaning the fall of most of our beloved video game series, relating his family and friends' opinions of second-string Nintendo characters, and mocking Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. I loved reading all that.

Actually, listening right now. ZenOfThunder is the picsmith guy to me, though I don't remember him being that active in the last couple contests in that regard. Then again, the format was so bad the last time I wouldn't blame anyone that didn't contribute.

Something to consider with people anti-voting Golden for being a Vita port: Persona 4 came out in December 2008, and of course was a cult hit that not everyone played right away. I'd saw it's fair to say most of its fanbase played it this decade, whether they bought the OG game later or they played it via Golden.

There's a good chance that some voters are completely unaware that it's actually a 2000s game alltogether, and that could matter as to whether it beats RDR, GTA/Cuphead, or the division entirely.

Nice one! On the topic of pics I do hope we get different pics next round even if we cant submit them until round 3, but Allen has done such a great job these would be fine again.

My big hope for pics, which I'm not optimistic will happen, is that Allen shoves the clickable logos to the side, and lets us integrate the logos ourselves.

Look at 2015's submitted pictures and see how the correct blending of the logos made a difference from a good pic to a great pic.

On the stuff about Reddit and the death of text, I had an interesting experience recently.

I'm 28 and I recently went back to college. Most people in my class are 20-23. They are all addicted to phones and mostly instagram (which shows a generetional change, because I do have instagram but I don't see the appeal of it).

So now we are having online classes, and in one of them, the teacher asked us to download a simulation program we need to use to do the online coursework.

About 90% of the class couldn't install it, and I was one of the few who could. Granted, it seems like many of them actually had some tech problems beyond their control (it took a few tries for me too), but it seems a lot of them have no idea how to install a program on a PC. Two of them literally sent me pics of their screen with the RAR archive opened and were like "Ok now what do I do?". At least one had never heard of WinRAR before. A third one didn't know how to go through the usual install proccess (click next, pick quick instalation, etc) so I had to guide them through it.

And those are engineering students, in an university that's one of the best but it's not a weak one either. They don't know how to do computer-related stuff that was second nature to me when I was like 12.

I don't know if I should be worried about it or not. In one hand it feels like I'm an old man complaining. Maybe phones are just better than computers, maybe some of that knowledge is outdated and it's fine if the kids can't do it.

On the flipside, I don't like how phones feel much less customizable than PCs and don't let the user find their way around their hard drive and control what the actual machine is doing. Instead you just download programs from the app store and use them the exact way everyone else is, which usually involves spamming copycat stories on instagram and liking each other's posts, or spamming copycat gifs on Whatsapp. And the death of text is worrying too, especially since it's coupled with the death of speech. People are transitioning to talking exclusively with emojis, maybe.

Is the youngest generation doomed or not? I guess we'll find out this decade!

Return of the Obra Dinn is "respected" but its playrate is probably down there near the bottom

Galaxy 2 deserves the blowout of the contest but that's the consolation prize it'll have to settle for

Being forced to vote in all 4 matches probably helps Galaxy 2 as well because who the heck is anti-voting this game?
