even if it wasn't perfect, and had things that I had issues with, I enjoyed Rise of Skywalker

Although GoT was sort of rushed in S7 and overly rushed in S8, at least the main storylines were planned out in advance, and left me satisfied enough with the conclusion.

Star wars was constantly meh so was no surprise when the last one was the same.

Star Wars had a decent end to a messy trilogy that you can ignore. GoT will never see a book finale and fans will be stuck with the TV ending.

Why not both?
The penultimate chapters, both Season 7 and Episode 8 left any hope for decent finales dead in the water. If I had to choose, it'd probably be Season 8. Just the way the Night King was wrapped up.
