Back in early October, an update to the game added "Multiplayer with Friends" to the game. It supports both Multiplayer Versus and Multiplayer Co-op. Most of us would prefer Multiplayer Co-op if we can get a multiplayer session going, but Multiplayer Versus is an option if there's any interest in that.

If we do Multiplayer Co-op, the preferred level difficulty should be Expert. I think that provides the right balance between getting a decent challenge in Co-op without being too difficult (since Super Expert is more likely to have unbeatable levels in a Co-op setting).

Here's an explanation for how Multiplayer with Friends works:

One person acts as a host, and up to 3 other people can connect to the host to play in a lobby. The host will need to add all of the people to his/her Switch friend list who want to play with the person hosting a lobby. The host has the ability to set the game mode (Multiplayer Versus or Co-op), level difficulty, and also has the option to play any levels that he has downloaded or created. The lobby may also be password protected, but I don't see much use for that when other people still have to be friends with the host anyways.

For those interested in acting as a multiplayer host, please provide the following information when posting in this topic:

Switch Profile Name -
In-Game Name -
Switch Friend Code -
Connection Type (Wired or Wireless) -
Max Download Speed -
Max Upload Speed -

The information regarding your internet connection is mainly to help identify potential candidates to act as the host. The ideal candidate to host should be based in North America since that region makes up a good majority of our board's userbase. Depending on how many people are interested in doing a multiplayer session, we could also have a second person hosting a different lobby in the event we have more than 4 people who want to play together.

I have not decided on a specific date for when we should host the multiplayer session, other than avoiding December 24th/25th because of Christmas. If I had to choose a date, I would recommend Friday or Saturday night at some point between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM EST.

That sucks Ngamer.

The only way you can watch the hot B8 action on Twitch is if we have someone with a capture card and a streaming set-up.

Punny, you also have issues with trying to organize a online multiplayer session for games that you like to play online?
