I was writing an essay on marijuana in 9th grade and had "ran out" of things to write. I ended up writing in about 60 synonyms for marijuana to reach the minimum length for the essay.

I'd just make up quotes and sources and they could be as lengthy as I wanted

Most of the synonyms for marijuana are short though. Unless you replaced them all with "the devil's lettuce", which is the only acceptable name.

I usually had a pretty good length and would only need a little bump so I just used the ole "change punctuation to 14" trick.

I think I still have the essay in my house, but the synonyms took up most of a page.

thematic tie-ins to broad cultural zeitgeists in us history

i also wrote my essays with a small font and single spacing, so once i actually reformatted the paper to class requirements it was much longer in terms of pagecount

Never had this problem. If anything, I would be asked to cut down on content. The information I presented was insightful and effective, but I'd always be told find ways to "trim it down" and make it come out to sound more "casual" and "sincere". Funny enough, one professor admitted to me that he spent hours on my paper, trailing backwards on all of my sources in an effort to PROVE I didn't write much and was just a copy/paste counterfeiter. Admitted that he was wrong for doubting me and that I did great.

See what I just did there? Just talk like you're a narrator for a Netflix documentary.

A little different. But my HS used to want a certain number of sources, and you had to write them out, as a......I forgot what they are called.

Anyway, I wrote some paper and only need a few sources so made up one, a book, and I made the author Eric Lynn Wright, aka Eazy-E.
