Like where do you narratively go from there. Anything else Doomsday does is going to be second to killing Superman. So we start to get into the ridiculous "he becomes immune to whatever killed him" nonsense because writers have to use him but are clueless with how. Bane suffered from pretty much the same thing after Knightfall. He had to be used because he was cool, but no one really knew how. Unlike Doomsday, Bane had enough character that some good writers were able to actually salvage the character. Doomsday literally doesn't have personality.
