And is on your couch with no memory. You have a week to remind him who he is before the timeline resets itself into the new timeline where the possibility that you might not exist and there is a chance the new path might be worse, same, or better. Would you take that chance?

if WW2 didn't happen pretty much everyone who exists right now would not. as evil as hitler was, he had massive effect on the timeline. and if you changed his role in history, it might delete every single person in the world. I'd try to keep everything the same to preserve the timeline

I would do everything possible to keep the timeline stable. As appealing as fixing a human atrocity sounds, stopping WWII would likely mean anyone born after the war started wouldnt exist. Other than a few very secluded areas, the war affected pretty much everyone in the world, even simply from reading about it in the news.

Maybe Israel doesn't get created if Holocaust didn't happen.

What sense does this make? I remind Hitler of who he is, but it's 2019. How does reminding him of who he is matter? He's not in 1944.

But if you never existed, who would have been there to convince/eliminate the Hitler that ended up on your couch? @__@

While im fine with not existing, fucking with the timeline is a bad idea even if its to ensure something horrible in the past doesnt happen. If it doesnt it invalidates everyones existence past that point. Thats not a decision for anyone to make

Either way there's blood on your hands since you'd basically be responsible for the death of everyone involved in the war/holocaust

Yup, either billions cease to exist or millions suffer terrible deaths at the hands of Hitler's regime. You could certainly argue about which is worse, but to me condemning people to die in the war/concentration camps is worse than just causing people to cease to exist. Of course maybe the timeline resetting would be violently awful too so

if no Hitler means that WW2 might not have happened, then means baby boomers might not have happened

and that's a chance I'm willing to take

but nah, if I could potentially prevent the Holocaust, I'd take that chance.

but Japan and other countries would still be committing their own genocides, though...

Very unlikely. At the time when the UN General Assembly voted in favour of partitioning Palestine into separate Arab and Jewish states, the Jewish population of Palestine had already reached critical mass without the influx of refugees from former Axis territories in Europe. And emigration from Germany or Austria wasn't the chief source of Jewish population growth in Palestine before the war.

But more importantly, the partition resolution had nothing to do with some half-assed idea about compensating the world's Jews for the Holocaust. Instead, it was proposed because a Zionist insurgency threatened to make Palestine ungovernable by the British, who dumped the problem into the lap of the UN; partition into two separate states seemed to be the only long-term political solution to the thorny question of Palestine's future.

At best the world simply doesnt experience or know of Hitler.

Its like if this timeline removed a crazy dictator we would just not know of him.
