Really loved dark souls and bloodborne but something about this is just ugh. It feels like the game is meant to be played a certain way and that just isn't how I play. Where as with dark souls you had a variety and could tackle things different ways

It's pretty much one variety of combat, and it's "parry everything".

In my personal opinion, when it comes to combat, Nioh > All of them.

Can't wait to play the second game. But it might be awhile before it gets a PC release.

I felt the same way, though I did manage to beat the whole thing without parrying outside one gimmick fight. The game does gives you a lot of tools, even though it feels like it's actively discouraging their use at times.

Haly arp!!! Nioh 2....wootness. I can't wait. Nioh has been my favorite of that genre so far. I'm waiting for my gamepass to end so I can actually replay it lol (it runs out on the 22nd and feel like I'm wasting games if I don't try them/play them before it does.

Been hard i've been jhonesing for some Nioh for months!!

Only thing is, I believe Phantasy Star Online 2 will be out right around then as well....and I really can't wait to play that. I might actually hold off and play Nioh 2 first (Since it'll obviously be much shorter, even if I'm sure i'll play well over 100 hours).

Gonna double check both of their release dates, man, next year is going to really rock for me game wise it seems!!!

This year was pretty blah honestly, even thoguh I got a ton of games for free (or $1) from gamepass.....I really didn't fall in love with that many of them.

i did't like dark souls as a noob, rolling is a terrible way to dodge something with a sword, axe you name it

i actually thought the i-frame thing was a exploit and not how you were supposed to play it

I actually thought the way it was meant to be played was with a shield and by rolling backwards
